
NEA, NEH Announce Grants for Literary Arts Orgs, Book Projects
The National Endowment for the Arts has announced 1,474 awards totaling $36,790,500 to support the arts in communities in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, DC. Among the total awards given are 51 grants for literary arts organizations, totaling $1,227,500. Among the recipients of this year's grants are the following publishers:

- Deep Vellum Press
- Dzanc Books
- Feminist Press
- Graywolf Press
- Hub City Writers Project
- Milkweed Editions
- Nightboat Books
- Transit Books
Additionally, the National Endowment for the Humanities has announced $22.6 million in grants for 219 humanities projects across the country, including more than 100 books in progress.
The funding, said NEH chair Shell C. Lowe, “will strengthen our ability to preserve and share important stories from the past with future generations, and expand opportunities in communities, classrooms, and institutions to engage with the history, ideas, languages, and cultures that shape our world.”
