The ‘Bookseller’ Launches New Adult Book Prize

The Bookseller has launched the New Adult Book Prize, in association with the Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.

The prize is the “first of its kind in the U.K.,” according to a press release, and responds to the growing popularity of the genre, which seeks to address the “issues and events that arise from the move from adolescence to early adulthood.” In addition to the New Adult Book Prize, the Bookseller also hosts the British Book Awards, the YA Book Prize, and the FutureBook Awards.

U.K.-based publishers can begin submitting entries for the New Adult Book Prize from April 30 to June 5. For more information about this year’s guidelines, click here.
