AALA Launches People of Publishing Conference
The Association of American Literary Agents has announced it will host People of Publishing, a one-day conference to be held at the New York Academy of Medicine on September 17 that aims to bring together literary agents, editors, and other publishing professionals.
Per a release, the conference will highlight "publishing industry trends, business realities, and professional skills." Programming will include "a discussion with CEOs from Macmillan, Simon & Schuster, and Hachette on navigating the breakneck speed of the industry; an exploration of trends with some of publishing’s top leaders; a 'Financial Fluency' workshop; and a panel discussion about the legal implications of book banning."
Registration is now open and closes on September 1, or when the event reaches capacity. The AALA previously cohosted the U.S. Book Show in partnership with PW.
